Keystone Dam Release Update 5/26/19. 5:30PM

We have received information that the Army Corps of Engineers will increase the release at Keystone Dam to 265,000 cubic feet per second (cfs) beginning at 7:00 PM this evening. The release rate will change to 275,000 cfs at 7:00 AM. tomorrow, May 27th with the expectation to leave it at this level through Thursday, May 30th. This is due to increased rainfall overnight and elevated water levels at Keystone Lake.

Despite these increases, the CIty of Jenks does not expect any major impacts or changes to our area. We continue to monitor the flood levels 24/7 and our Emergency Operations Center is ready to respond if water levels change.

Even though we do not expect major changes with these increases in the release rates, we still encourage our citizens to remain vigilant and stay tuned to our social media sites, website, and local news outlets. All those that live by bodies of water must stay alert and be prepared if something should change.
