U.S. 75 & 111th STREET OVERPASS PROJECT
ODOT's 111th Street & US75 overpass project is nearing completion. Construction began in Nov 2009 and is expected to be completed in mid-Oct. The bridge decking has been completed, and work is currently being done on parapet walls and grading for the on- and off-ramps. Sound barriers are also being installed along the east side of US75, south of the intersection, to reduce highway noise for residents.
Replacing the traffic signal with an overpass will make daily commutes easier for motorists, as well as safer.
Lanes will be kept open on US 75 during peak travel times (6-9am & 3-7pm) Monday thru Friday, and drivers are encouraged to check for updates at ODOT Traffic Advisories to plan their route.
Local traffic in Jenks should avoid the construction area whenever possible by using 33rd West Avenue west of U.S. 75 or Elwood east of U.S. 75.

* OBEY ALL CONSTRUCTION TRAFFIC SIGNS *
Drivers are advised to obey all traffic control signs in construction zones. When streets are closed or lanes are barricaded off in a work zone, it is for the safety of workers and the general public. Construction workers and equipment operators, not expecting traffic to be on a closed street, could walk out from behind a vehicle or move equipment into the path of vehicles violating closed work areas.
If you move or drive around a construction work zone sign, you are breaking the law and subject to a traffic citation. Due to numerous violations of this nature, Jenks police will be watching all construction work zones for traffic violations such as speeding and driving around or moving construction road signs.
