Jenks Kiwanis Christmas Parade Brings Thousands Out to Jenks

This past Saturday, November 17th, Jenks held their annual Jenks Kiwanis Christmas Parade on Main St.  Close to 5,000 people came out to enjoy the beautiful weather and share in the holiday spirit.

The parade participants set the bar high this year with their decorative displays and genorosity.  Many handed out candy or trinkets, while others put on a show with their animals or vehicles.

Before the parade, the Jenks Optimist Club hosted a pancake breakfast at Jenks City Hall.  Jenks Fire Chief Greg Ostrum and Assistant Chief Kyle Zickefoose, along with several Jenks firefighters, put on their chef hats and cooked all the pancakes and sausage for this event.  There was a great turnout for the breakfast- the Community Room at City Hall was full for most of the morning!

Please visit our Facebook page City of Jenks- Municipality for pictures of the parade and the Jenks Optimist Breakfast!
