Neighborhood Watch

The Jenks Police Department is currently engaged in developing Neighborhood Watch organizations to help curb the occurrence of crime thorughout the city of Jenks. The program consists of forming a group within, usually housing additions, that are trained to be aware of conditions that may be indicative of crimes in progress and the proper way to work together as a group to document and alert the police of suspicious activity. The program attempts to help residents take measures to make their homes less attractive to criminals.

Business Watch:
Business Watch is a program that the Jenks Police Department is developing to assist businesses in detecting crimes in progress and deterring crime. The program will emphasize measures that can be taken by individual businesses to help make them more crime resistant and guide them in what to do if they become a victim of crime. 

Public Transportation

Tulsa Transit bus service is available throughout the City of Tulsa and extends into Jenks, Sand Springs and Broken Arrow.

Service to Jenks is within the original townsite, north of the Creek Turnpike. Jenks northbound service terminates at the Main Station which is located downtown Tulsa at 319 South Denver. Southbound service returns to Jenks.

Main Street Ribbon Cutting
On Friday, February 15, 2019, the City of Jenks and Tulsa County held a ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the transportation improvement project to widen Main Street from Elm Street to State Highway 75.
 
This long-anticipated project to expand the roadway from a two-lane to a four-lane road is complete. Additionally, the project includes improvements to intersections, merging, connecting roadways, drainage systems and signage.
 
The Main Street widening project is funded by City of Jenks general obligation bonds in partnership with additional investment from Tulsa County "Four-to-fix the County" funds and Federal Highway Transportation funds.
 
We want to thank Lt. Governor of Oklahoma, Matt Pinnell,  Dr. Josh Wedman - Mayor of Jenks - Councilman Ward 4 , Tulsa County Commissioner Karen Keith’s office,  and Jenks Chamber of Commerce President Josh Driskell for attending and saying a few words to recognize the significance of this project.
