Residential Building Permit


Residential Building Permit Applications must include:

  • A completed subcontractor list on page 2 of the permit
  • If applicable a copy of general liability and workers' compensation insurance
  • If applicable, Tulsa County Health Department soil percolation test results for the proposed septic system
  • Legal description of the property
  • One set of 11 by 17 construction plans, including Site Plan and Foundation Plan (with Post-tension slab specifications if applicable)

Permit Issuance

Permits will normally be ready for issuance within 3 business days for residential development.  This timetable is subject to increase without notice according to a number of factors, which may include: 

  • Necessitation of interaction with other departments or agencies
  • Project Size
  • Seasonal workload
  • Unusual zoning issues
