Welcome to the Jenks Youth City Council!
This brand new group led by Jenks High School Seniors has just opened applications to all Jenks Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. We are excited for this opportunity to partner with the Youth City Council in their endeavors.
The purpose is to provide an opportunity for youth to experience the following:
🔹Acquire a greater knowledge and appreciation for the political system through active participation in local government.
🔹Learn how local municipal government works and how municipal services are provided.
🔹Provide a means by which the City’s youth can be heard and share their perspective on issues affecting the lives of young people in areas of social, educational, recreational, cultural, and public safety.
🔹Provide leadership development and experience that will enable the youth to become productive citizens and leaders in the community.
🔹Organize and execute community service projects that impact our community.

The first meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 4:15pm at Jenks City Hall.
